We do this by providing AI-based explanations that unveil why someone is a good match or not.
began at the Michal Sela Hackathon, driven by a shared passion to make online dating safer and smarter. We created an initial product aimed at preventing sexual harassment in dating apps, recognizing the critical need for safety in online interactions. However, as we delved deeper into the online dating world, we discovered that safety was just one of many pain points users faced. People often found themselves unsure of who they were connecting with, leading to countless frustrations and disappointments.
Through extensive research, we found that users often sift through profiles with vague match percentages and superficial information, unsure if the person they’re viewing could be a good fit. This often leads to users "gambling" on potential matches based on gut feelings, resulting in frequent disappointments. Additionally, many users feel invisible, unable to showcase their true personalities through traditional profiles, and are often overlooked by those who could be perfect matches. The combination of frustration from incompatible matches, feeling overlooked, and the significant time investment required makes the online dating experience negative for many.
